17 jan 2010 JAIPUR: After Sankranti, the rise in minimum temperature by six degrees has given people the much-needed respite.
Met department said due to a high pressure over the northern states the sky is clear leading to bright sunshine. The day temperature went up due to this. Mount Abu, however, recorded a temperature near freezing point followed by Sri Ganganagar at 4.2 degrees Celsius. Dry weather conditions are likely to prevail in the state. The sky will be clear, added the Met Department.
Mercury rose by two to four degrees Celsius during the night, and up by six degrees Celsius during the day. The minimum temperature in Jaipur rose to 6.5 degrees Celsius on Sunday night compared to 4.2 the other day. Weather will remain dry and the minimum temperature may fall again in the next 24 hours due to clear sky, Met office said.
