Cement Industry of Chittorgarh

Rajasthan state has extensive reserves (about 2500 MT) of cement grade limestone and with the present production capacity of nearly 13 million tonnes per annum of cement.

At present Rajasthan state has 15 major and 4 medium cement plants with an installed capacity of 16.00 MT of cement per annum. Chittorgarh district is the main cement producer in Rajasthan. Below is the list if few of the cement industries in Chittorgarh:



Birla Cement Works (A Unit Of Birla Corporation Ltd.)
Birla Cement Works The Cement Division of Birla Corporation Limited (A MP Birla Group Company) has two of there six cements plants in Chanderia (Chittorgarh, Rajasthan) - Birla Cement Works (BCW) & Chittor Cement Works (CCW).

The BCW and CCW have received the IS/ISO 14001 certificate, an international recognition for "Implementation of Environmental Management System".
Aditya Cements Works Ltd.(A Unit Of Grasim Cement Ltd.)
With a total grey cement capacity of 13.12 million tonnes per annum (TPA), Grasim is among the largest producers of grey cement in India. Grasim is the 9th largest cement producer in the world.

Aditya Cement Works is one of the cement plant of Grasim Industries. It was build in 1995 in Shambupura, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The plant capacity is about 1.50 million TPA. The plant is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and are certified with ISO 9001 for quality systems, and ISO 14001 for environment management systems.
