JAIPUR: Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Saturday reviewed the situation at the Panchana dam area in Karauli district where a section of people are
opposing the release of water from the dam.
After a high-level meeting at his residence, he said further discussions will be held with the people of the area.
The state government as per the agreement with the people of the dam and downstream, has initiated the tender process and constituted a monitoring committee for the construction of the proposed lift irrigation project.
The government has taken all steps to complete the process in a time-bound manner as per the agreement, he said.
