Raj Mahal Palace, Jaipur was originally built in 1729 AD by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II for his beloved wife, Maharani Chandra Kumar Ranawatiji, daughter of the Maharana of Udaipur. The palace was later converted into a luxurious hotel in the year 1979.
