Excursion of Jaisalmer

Sam Sand Dunes
A nearest point to witness the total sandy desert. It is a great place gaining tremendous tourist attraction these days. this sandy place is famous for watching sunset and taking a camel ride. Camels ride on the sand dunes are an unforgettable experience as is the sunset.

Amar Sagar
This was once a pleasant garden with a lake. the lake here dries up in the summer season. Closeby is the Jain Temple where one can see some beautiful carvings.

Lodurva
The ancient capital of Jaisalmer, where some vestiges of former glory remain.

Kuldhera
One of the interesting place is Kuldhara Village. This is among the 84 villages inhabited by the rich paliwals. Included in the camel treks is the small village of Kuldhera

Desert National Park
Its another place that preserve the eco-system of the desert land. It has some vegetation that survives in the dry and arid soil. It also has few animal species like the monitor lizard, foxes and black bucks etc.

Wood Fossil Park, Aakal
An impressive Fossil Park, standing witness to the geologic cataclysms that have taken place in the Thar.

Raikas
The camel herdsmen travel by the ship of the desert over vast distances and know every pasture waterhole of the region.
